Decision Architecture

Architecture distributes the figures through space and turns every distance into a decision. The interior is divided into two sectors by a tall grey pillar rising from the lower edge and interrupting the diagonally striped band above. In the left bay, two distant figures are separated by a broad violet wall and ochre floor; a small potted plant sits near the foreground. At right, two further adjacent figures occupy the space before a large black rectangle, while a second pot holds sparse dark branches. Perspective lines, brown parapets and triangular fields of yellow and pink organise the two settings: repeated people and plants create correspondences, but the pillar maintains their clear spatial division.
