Version July 23, 2026. Use of the site entails acceptance of the conditions applicable to consultation. Sending materials also requires express acceptance of the conditions shown in the form.
1. Nature of the Archive
Augustooppo.it is a cultural and documentary project that is updated progressively. It brings together available works, sources and information concerning Augusto Salvatore Oppo. It is neither a definitive catalogue raisonné nor a certifying body.
2. No automatic authentication, estimation or intermediation
The presence of a record, receipt of a submission or a response from the Archive does not constitute authentication, definitive attribution, a certificate of provenance, an expert opinion, a valuation or an offer to buy or sell. The site does not automatically connect sellers with buyers and does not publish private contact details.
3. Correctness and updates
The Archive works with documentary rigour, but information may be incomplete, disputed or subject to correction. Source and verification notes form part of the content. Errors may be reported via Contact; each proposal is evaluated before any modification.
4. Submitting artworks and documents
Anyone who sends materials declares that they are at least 18 years old or that they act with the assistance of someone with parental responsibility, that they are authorized to transmit them and that they provide, to the best of their knowledge, truthful information. Content that is unlawful, misleading, offensive, harmful, irrelevant or contains unnecessary personal data must not be sent.
5. Limited license for archival analysis
By submitting materials, the contributor grants the site owner a royalty-free, non-exclusive licence limited to receiving, storing, organising, technically copying, adapting for review, comparing and studying those materials for archival assessment and protection of the project. This licence does not in itself authorise publication.
6. Separate publication and anonymity
The authorization to publish images and data is optional and distinct from sending them for analysis. Even with this authorization the Archive decides whether and how to publish. The name of the owner remains anonymous unless further specific consent is given. The Archive may omit data, reduce images or postpone publication for documentary, legal or technical reasons.
7. Intellectual Property
Texts, editorial structure, graphic design, photographs produced by the Archive and other content are protected under applicable law. Works by Augusto Oppo and photographs reproducing them may be subject to separate rights. Personal consultation and study do not authorise reproduction, publication, distribution, adaptation, system training or commercial use.
8. Rights of third parties
The contributor remains responsible for statements concerning the availability of materials and rights. A third party who believes that content infringes their rights may submit a reasoned request identifying the content and the entitlement claimed. The Archive may suspend the content as a precaution while it carries out its review.
9. Loans, exhibitions and reproductions
Requests for research, loans, exhibitions, publications or high-resolution images are assessed individually. The presence of a work on the website does not imply that it is available. See Rights and reproductions.
10. External links
External links are provided for documentation or further information. Those websites operate independently and are subject to their own terms; the Archive does not control their availability, security or content.
11. Limitations of Liability
To the extent permitted by law, the owner is not liable for economic, attribution or contractual decisions taken exclusively on the basis of the site, nor for temporary unavailability, loss of data attributable to the user's device or conduct of third parties. The mandatory responsibilities and the protection afforded to consumers remain unchanged.
12. Suspension and refusal
The Archive may refuse or remove reports that are manifestly unfounded, abusive, duplicated, illicit or technically dangerous and may suspend functions for maintenance or security.
13. Applicable law
Italian law applies. For consumers, the jurisdiction and mandatory protections provided by the applicable legislation remain unaffected. Before a dispute, the parties are invited to seek a solution via the site's contact details.
