Subjects and visual language
The vertical composition centres on a figure built from overlapping brown, black and blue-grey volumes. Dense concentric and linear impressions cross the surface, while pale fields along the edges separate the torso from the dark ground. The title “Torso androgino”, the 50 × 70 cm format and the artist’s name are handwritten on the reverse; the front bears the signature “Oppo” and the date “90”, read as 1990.
